At JFB’s Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 15th, 2007 we will elect our officers for 2008. Elections will be held for the following officer positions: President-Elect, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary and Corresponding Secretary. Only members in good standing are eligible to be officers. To serve as president-elect or treasurer, a member must have the additional qualifications of three consecutive years of active membership and have served on a standing committee for at least two years. JFB’s officers and two appointed executive officers make up the Association’s Executive Committee.

The Nominations and Elections Committee is now accepting nominations of candidates for office for the positions of President-Elect, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, and Recording Secretary.

The deadline for all nominations is the close of business on Monday, October 16, 2007. Candidates for office should submit an application to Committee Chair M. Andree Green at andree.green@ppd.mncppc.org.

Any candidate who is unopposed by the close of business on October 16, 2007, will assume office beginning December 1, 2007. Please contact M. Andree Green at (301) 952-4501 if you have questions.

Please Read Prior to Submission of Nominations!!!

If you are “a slacker” ,“a jive talker” ,“a half-stepper”, less than “thorough”, “lame”, or “shaky”.

PLEASE DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER.

The J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association (“JFB”) Nominations and Elections Committee is looking for “a few good men” (and women). Applications are now being accepted. Superior leadership skills are a must. No experience required but helpful.

All applicants must possess a servant’s heart, above average
intelligence, the ability to work independently and as a team player. Salary is non-negotiable. (Should read gratitude where available)

Applications will be accepted by electronic mail, “snail” mail, personal delivery, Pony Express and courier pigeon. (Email only)

The timely submissions of qualified candidates will be published in the Newsletter. Thereafter the names of said candidates will appear on a certified ballot for voting by the membership.

Fight “slack-attack.” Step up and serve.
